PADI Enriched Air Diver at a Glance

  • Course Overview

    This course is designed to qualify recreational divers to use enriched air (“Nitrox”) for no stop recreational diving. The program addresses the use of enriched air with 22 percent to 40 percent oxygen, with emphasis on enriched air with 32 and 36 percent oxygen. You will learn to select the appropriate Nitrox mixture for your planned depth, analyze the mix to insure accuracy and safety, and determine the oxygen exposure limits after each dive.

  • What’s involved

    * Independent study with PADI Enriched Air Diver manual and academic materials
    * 1 classroom session, 7-10 PM covering theory, knowledge reviews and exam

  • Prerequisites

    * PADI Open Water Diver or qualifying certification
    * At least 15 years old
